About Us

Our company was founded by Loman D. Brown in 1979. Loman received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry & Biology from the Murray State University in Murray, KY. After serving our country in the US Army, he joined Bristol-Myers as a synthetic organic chemist. Later he was recruited by the J.M. Smucker Company, first as a Product Development Manager, and then as the National Industrial Sales Manager.

Some of Loman’s professional affiliations have included the National IFT, (Past Chairman of Lake Erie IFT), American Society of Bakery Engineers, and the Advisory Board for Nutrition (undergraduate program) at Case Western Reserve University. Loman is currently serving on the Board of Directors for the North Carolina Sweet Potato Commission.

Shad Gregg is our Regional Sales Manager at a Branch Office located in Bellville, OH. Shad has been with Loman Brown, Inc. since 1995 and has more than 28 years’ experience in sales and marketing. Shad can be reached by phone at 419-886-2944.

Mardie Motz & Laura Hunt work with our customers and principals handling sales, support, order entry, samples, invoicing, and logistics to assure products arrive at the correct destination - whether over the road, or by rail - on time. In addition, they share all office administrative functions at the company headquarters, located in Bath, OH. Mardie has been with Loman Brown, Inc. since 1990, and Laura joined the Company in 2000. Both have extensive backgrounds in Customer Service.
